Porsche, BMW and McLaren Services in Bridgeport, Connecticut

Elio has rebuilt over 500 Porsche engines, handled more than 300 BMW M-series diagnostics, and built one of only three independent McLaren programs on the East Coast. He works on your car himself. You talk to him directly, on the phone or on WhatsApp, from the first estimate to the day you drive away.

Emegatronic covers the tri-state area from 1900 East Main Street in Bridgeport. We also crate engines and ship OEM-spec parts to more than 40 countries.

Services We Offer in Bridgeport, CT

We do not farm work out. Every engine, every transmission, every diagnostic session happens inside our Bridgeport shop, and Elio performs or supervises all of it.

Diagnostic

We test before we quote. A P0300 tells us a cylinder misfired, nothing more. We run compression and leak-down tests, log live data under load, and borescope the bore when the numbers justify it. You receive measured figures, not color-coded checklists.

Engine Rebuilding

We re-engineer M96 and M97 blocks instead of patching them. Our 3.4L to 3.8L conversion fits aluminum wet liners with nickel silicon carbide surfaces, a 100 mm bore and a 78 mm stroke. ARP rod bolts, Carrillo rods, every clearance recorded.

Transmission

A juddering PDK rarely needs a new mechatronic unit. We read the remaining clutch pack life on the factory tester first. We service PDK, DCT, ZF and SSG units, rebuild G50 boxes, and measure flywheel runout on every clutch job.

Suspension

Elio sets geometry for the road you drive, not a lap chart. We fit coilovers and adjustable dampers, replace thrust arm bushings and top mounts, then recalibrate PASM, PDCC and PSM baselines so the chassis stops running stale sensor values.

Pre-Purchase Inspection

Our report tells you what the car actually is. We scan every module for fault history, measure paint depth in microns, run compression and leak-down, and borescope M96 and M97 cylinders. You leave with itemized costs and real negotiating leverage.

Tuning and ECU Calibration

Elio programs 993 Motronic chips and reflashes Carrera GT DMEs on the same bench as S58 calibration. Every map gets datalogged. We watch air-fuel ratio, knock retard and intake air temperature before signing off, and we explain each trade-off.

Paint Protection Film

Rock chips on a 720S nose or a GT3 bumper cost more to repaint than to prevent. We apply self-healing film to full front ends, track packages and complete cars, wrapping edges rather than cutting film on paint.

Scheduled Maintenance

Porsche sets intervals by engine code and model year, not by a universal mileage chart. We service what your VIN actually calls for, using oil carrying the correct A40 or C30 approval, and we scan DME fault memory every visit.

Oil Service

Dry-sump GT3, Turbo and Carrera GT engines need different capacities, filters and labor than a wet-sump Carrera. We use factory-approved oil, replace the filter element, cut the old filter open to inspect for bearing debris, and record what we find.

Brake Service

Iron and PCCB systems demand different pad compounds. Running the wrong compound on carbon ceramic deposits material into the matrix and ruins the disc. We measure rotor thickness, weigh PCCB discs, bleed with high-temperature fluid and record every figure.

Wheel Alignment

We align on a laser rack and record camber, caster, toe and thrust angle before and after. Corner balancing with driver weight simulated equalizes cross-weight. Uneven shoulder wear usually means alignment drift, so we measure before we replace anything.

Tire Service

Porsche specifies N-rated tires engineered around each model’s weight and suspension geometry. We mount on touchless equipment, road-force balance to isolate uniformity faults a spin balancer misses, and check DOT date codes because rubber ages regardless of tread depth.

Cooling System Service

Plastic coolant pipes joined with epoxy fail in Cayenne V8 block valleys. We replace them with pinned aluminum pipes. We pressure test cold and hot, run combustion gas detection to rule out head gasket involvement, and inspect radiators for internal corrosion.

AC and Climate Service

Porsche HVAC runs through the climate control module, so proper diagnosis needs factory-level access rather than a gauge set. We test compressor output, trace evaporator and condenser leaks with dye, recover and recharge to specified weight, and code the module.

Battery Service and Coding

Modern Porsche and BMW power management charges to the battery’s registered age and chemistry. Fitting a new AGM battery without coding it leaves the system running the old profile, which shortens battery life and triggers electrical faults. We register every replacement.

Fluid Service

Beyond engine oil, these cars need gearbox fluid, coolant, brake fluid and power steering fluid on separate intervals. PDK requires a filter and a fill performed at controlled fluid temperature. A PDK service is not a drain and refill.

Clutch Service

Carrera GT clutch work requires the engine and transaxle to drop as an assembly. We measure flywheel runout, inspect the pilot bearing and rear main seal while access is open, and fit OEM-spec or ceramic composite discs to suit your use.

Classic and Air-Cooled Preservation

We keep 911 SC, 3.2 Carrera, 964 and 993 cars honest without erasing patina. We replace chain ramps before they take a valvetrain with them, measure valve guide wear, cure through-bolt leaks, and decarbon 993 secondary air injection ports.

Performance and Track Setup

We build 996 twin turbo conversions on our own M96 and M97 sleeves, fit high-flow injectors matched to calibration, and prepare cars for sustained track load. Every modification stays reversible and every original part goes back to you.

Parts and Upgrades

We machine and ship our own components, including the NOSE RING EM-FCS60 crankshaft nose seal fix and the M96/M97 rear main seal installation tool. We stock cylinder liners, IMS bearings, ARP hardware, Carrillo rods and PDK clutch packs.

Winter Storage

We store customer cars inside the garage, never out in the lot. Storage includes battery maintenance on a conditioner, correct tire pressures to prevent flat spotting, fuel stabilizer where needed, and periodic movement so seals and bearings do not set.

We Ship Engines and Parts to 40+ Countries

Most independent shops serve a radius. We serve a radius and a shipping list.

A customer in Texas created his hydrolocked S65 M3 engine in Bridgeport, we rebuilt it, and it went back in a wooden crate looking new. Owners in the UK, UAE and Australia send us fault codes, compression numbers and oil consumption data on WhatsApp before they ship anything. Elio reviews the information and gives an honest read before either side commits.

How We Work

You tell us the symptom

Call, email or message Elio on WhatsApp. Send fault codes, compression numbers or a video of the noise. International customers do this before they ship anything.

We diagnose and measure

We test before we quote. You get real numbers, not guesses.

You approve the work in writing

We itemize parts and labor. Nothing proceeds without your approval. If we find something new mid-job, we stop, photograph it and call you.

We order parts before we open the engine

Your car does not sit in pieces waiting on a shipment.

We build it and document every step

We photograph each stage and record every torque value and clearance. You receive the file.

We test it and hand it back

Every engine runs on the bench or in the car before it leaves. Every car gets road tested by Elio.

About Elio

Elio has spent more than twenty years at the top end of this industry. He came up through old-school mechanical work, then learned the electronics side as the cars changed, and he still does both himself.

That combination matters on cars like the Carrera GT, where a 5.7L V10 rewards mechanical precision and a correct ECU calibration in equal measure. It matters on an S65 that regularly sees 8,400 RPM, where BMW’s original assembly tolerances quietly accepted compromises that show up as rod bearing wear on track.

Elio stores customer cars inside the garage, not out in the lot. He returns parts customers decide against ordering. He walks owners through recommendations and lets them pick à la carte without pressure. Seventy-three Google reviews say the same things about him, which is why we quote his customers rather than writing our own copy about him.

Where We Work

Everywhere else

We accept crated engines and shipped components from anywhere in the United States, and we ship finished work and parts to more than 40 countries. Message Elio on WhatsApp at (203) 332-7244 to arrange it.

Excellent experience with eMegatronic, I highly recommend for Porsche service and major repairs including IMS Bearing replacement for 986/996. Elio and his team were great to work with and were honest and transparent throughout the process of diagnosis, repair options, and estimating cost. They have deep expertise on Porsche, a true specialist, and their recommendations helped me make better decisions about replace vs repair, OEM vs aftermarket parts, and how to prioritize the work the car needed within my budget. Kept me informed at all times and shared photos and videos. The work performed was high quality and the car was returned immaculate - an excellent experience overall.

I brought my 2006 BMW Z4 3.0si in to address a weird noise I couldn’t diagnose myself, and I couldn't be more impressed with the entire experience. Elio executed the work flawlessly: the mystery noise is completely gone, and the new Koni setup has transformed the ride quality completely. My suspension needed to be refreshed, and Elio kept the old parts for me to see and take home with me. What really sets this shop apart is that you are truly paying for top-tier customer service and genuine peace of mind. Elio took the time to walk me through his detailed recommendations and allowed me to choose à la carte exactly what I wanted done, without applying any pressure or trying to upsell me on unnecessary work. Elio even returned the original Bilsteins he had ordered for me when I decided last minute to go with Koni’s. I felt really bad doing that, but Elio assured me it was no problem. He told me numerous times that his primary goal is to complete excellent work and make sure I’m happy as a customer. Customer service A+++ I can be pretty OCD about my car, but Elio listened to every single concern with patience and complete respect. Understanding how much I care about keeping the convertible top in pristine condition, he made sure the car was stored safely inside the garage for the entire duration of its stay. I’m not much of a car guy myself, but I respect the BMW brand and like to keep my vehicles in good condition, especially as this is my dream car and I’ve spent a long time trying to find a great example. I knew Elio was the right guy to work on the car when he had similar sentiment. Too many people beat BMW’s to the ground and let them become sh*t boxes. It is rare to find a mechanic who treats your vehicle with the same level of care and respect that you do while delivering precise, high-quality technical work. Worth every single penny. You are paying for quality work. I will definitely be coming back. Thanks again Elio! -Pierce

I can’t recommend Emegatronic enough. I brought my Porsche in with several major issues, including transmission problems, an oil leak, and cooling system issues. From day one, they were professional, honest, and incredibly communicative. They kept me updated throughout the entire process with videos and explanations, so I always knew exactly what was going on with my car. They also blessed me with a great price for the amount of work they did, which I truly appreciated. Now my Porsche runs flawlessly. The transmission shifts smoothly, the oil leak is completely gone, the cooling issues are fixed, and the car drives beautifully. It honestly feels like a completely different car. Working with Emegatronic was an amazing experience from start to finish. If you want a shop that knows what they’re doing, keeps you informed every step of the way, and genuinely takes care of their customers, I highly recommend them. I’ll definitely be coming back for any future work.

If you are like me you look at reviews for indy specialist mechanics for your foreign/German made cars and not necessarily the front page of google. Definitely not the dealership for service once your warranty is up. That's how I found Elio at Emegatronic and I am very glad I did! Great documentation/videos. Fair pricing for excellent/honest work. Helped with timing chain service on a BMW and other misc work too. Car runs great now. He has an impressive shop and uses all the right tools and fluids for everything.

First time customer, and Emegatronic far exceeded my expectations. Been through the Good, Bad and the Ugly when it comes to servicing German cars. Here...no fluff, no filler, only exact information regarding diagnosis with specific facts on repairs, preventative maintenance, and performance modifications. Taking my vehicle anywhere new is nerve racking, stressful, and worrisome. I am relieved to know that Emegatronic represents master technical and mechanical knowledge and with a specific game plan on my vehicle both short and long term. You cannot place a value on this kind of service*****

Another happy Emegatronic customer here! When my BMW M3 became hydrolocked I didn't know what to do. Most local shops told me they couldn't do anything for me. I searched all over and found Elio. I'm very particular about my cars and pretty knowledgeable myself, but trust is something that is hard to come by these days. After speaking with him a few times over the phone he gave me the confidence that he was the right man to rebuild my engine. He sent pictures and videos, kept me updated through the whole process, and answered all my questions on the phone, which meant a lot because I live over a 1,000 miles away. He welcomed me into his shop when I was in the area for work and it was clean, organized and busy! Received my engine carefully packed in a wood crate and it looks brand new. Drives like new too....I couldn't be any happier! Elio is the real deal - obviously very knowledgeable (very familiar with the S65) in his craft, but also trustworthy and just a great guy. He's not just out to make a quick buck, but establish and build relationships.

FAQs

Yes. We cover air-cooled 964 and 993 engines and every water-cooled generation through the 996, 997, 991 and 992. Each rebuild follows model-specific factory tolerances. We do not apply one generic process to every engine that comes through the door.

IMS bearing failure on M96 and M97 flat-six engines. We diagnose bearing wear early and replace the intermediate shaft bearing before cylinder scoring and crankcase damage turn a repair into a full rebuild.

Yes. Cylinder liners, rod bearings, IMS solutions and crankshaft components leave Bridgeport for more than 40 countries. Every order ship is tracked and properly packaged. International buyers reach Elio directly on WhatsApp at (203) 332-7244.

We handle S55 rebuilds for the M3 and M4, S65 V8 work for the E92 M3, S58 diagnostics for G80 and G82 cars, and N63 oil consumption repair across X5M, X6M and 5 Series M applications.

Yes. We handle 570S, 600LT, 650S, 720S, 750S and 765LT engine and drivetrain work in house. Very few independent workshops in the United States cover McLaren at this level.

Dealerships follow warranty-driven repair paths at standard labor rates. We measure every clearance, source OEM-spec components, and give you direct access to the technician building your engine. You speak to Elio, not a service advisor.

Yes. Owners in the UK, UAE, Australia and across the United States send fault codes, compression figures and oil consumption data on WhatsApp first. Elio reviews it and gives an honest assessment before anyone commits to shipping.

Bore scoring is vertical scratching on the cylinder wall, most common on M97 engines. We confirm it with a borescope before we quote, because a ticking noise alone proves nothing. If we find it, our liner conversion re-engineers the block rather than repeating the original design.

Yes. Customers crate engines to Bridgeport regularly. We rebuild and crate them back. One customer 1,000 miles away did exactly that with a hydrolocked S65.

Yes, unless you tell us to dispose of them. We hand them back so you can see what came off your car.

Timing depends on parts availability and the scope of machine work. Elio gives you a date at the start and calls you if it changes.

Yes. We calibrate the ECU as part of the build and datalog the result before the car leaves.
